Great Quality Urn, Even Better Customer Service
First off, we have had this urn for 4 months now and it is great. We only use it for hot water and we have it on constantly for instant hot water for all our hot drinks. It heats up silently and once it is heated it does have a constant slight humming background noise but it does not bother us. In comparison to our previous urns, this one feels like the most well made with solid metal and sturdy plastic handles and spout. Unfortunately, the spout developed a slight crack after 4 months of use causing water to leak out. I called SYBO’s customer service number (just Google it) and told them about the crack and our upcoming out of town guests arriving within 2 days. They were friendly and professional and shipped me a replacement spout that arrived within 2 days and they emailed me detailed instructions how to replace it. It worked seamlessly and we had our urn up and running in time for our guests. I highly recommend this urn for the both the solid construction and the #1 customer service that backs their product.

I bought this to put in my new kitchen that is being renovated. It keeps the hot water hot. It looks small but has a large capacity. We will be happy to continue to use this very useful product and many people will continue to enjoy their reliable daily coffee in our items!

Great for serious tea / coffee lovers
I got this for my family’s new kitchen which is currently in construction. We plan to have at least 2 extended family members move in sometime this yar and they, along with my parents, love a cup or 3 of warm tea / coffee in the morning and throughout the day. This is going to be ideal during the coming Autumn / Winter months when hot drinks are going to be in demand the most! The setup is simple and the interior is exceptionally easy to clean. This holds a tremendous amount of liquid and the built in filter makes brewing large batches of coffee so simple. Plus, even without the heating function, you can use this for cold drinks as well, just be sure to unplug he unit. There is no thermal lining, though, so ice will be a must, preferably added directly to your cups from a cooler or ice bag. I really do like how simple this is to use and maintain. Plus, the design is just the right size for travel and bring to outdoor functions to keep large gatherings satisfied.

Easy, tasty, a bit of discoloration and imperfections
We used it once so far to make coffee for a crowd. The brew process was easy. We measured whole beans based on the ratios in the manual and the flavor and strength worked out well (I wasnât sure if it would be weak compared to measuring ground coffee). We plan to use it for a monthly gathering.After the one brew, which was kept on and hot for maybe 5-6 hours⦠there was discoloration and rust-looking residue at the bottom. I wasnât able to scrub it away when I cleaned up. But now 1 month later, I can scratch it off with my fingernail and I think it was just some charred coffee, not rust. good!The tap definitely drips a little after each time you pour a cup. Not ideal but we just leave a paper towel under it to catch it.And the spout is nearly an inch above the bottom of the container, so thereâs a quite large amount of coffee left when it stops pouring. We need to tip the urn to get it out.Despite all this, Iâm happy with the product

Great Product AND Great Customer Service
I work at a nonprofit mental health organization and having daily coffee is very important! We have used several large coffee urns and this one has so far been the best. Having the power switch is great and should be standard for all machines (we learned the hard way with ones without a power switch, which creates an electrical safety hazard). It does take a little longer than usual to brew a full urn, but I feel the overall quality is worth the wait.We did experience a malfunction with the heating element, though, after about only four months. A strong lighting storm may have been a factor, shorting out the urn’s ability to generate the required voltage to heat, but it could not be confirmed. A major plus with this product is the excellent customer service of SYBO.They replied within 24 hours and quickly sent a replacement. The warranty is worth it! I very much appreciated their quick response and hassle-free handling of the situation. We will be glad to continue using this very useful product and many people will continue enjoying their dependable daily coffee at our program! Thank you, SYBO!

Not a fan of the re-design
I had the previous model in the kitchen at my Bed and Breakfast for 3 years and had to replace it because it started leaking. In fairness, it’s almost always on, so it gets a lot of use. I use it exclusively for hot water (for tea, ramen, cocoa, cooking, cleaning, etc).Anyway, I went to my orders to find it and re-order and the new one arrived yesterday.1.) the filter will splash water back out at you now. It’s shallower and the mesh is finer, so you have to pour water in slower. Tiring when you’re holding up a full pitcher, and it slows me down significantly.2.) On the subject of slowing me down, the water level window is also a loser. It takes a little time to even begin to react to new water added (and I’m not even sure how they accomplished this defiance of the physics of water levels). If I’m not SLOW and CAREFUL I’ll accidentally overfill it because the water level in the window takes like 20 seconds to accurately reflect the water level in the tank. Again, not ideal for a busy kitchen.3.) The lid is now flimsier and the connection is tighter, so it’s more difficult to get into place and less likely to survive any accidents in the processI am NOT impressed by the re-design. This item is no longer for a busy kitchen. It’s maybe for a hobbyist who doesn’t need it very often. It’s definitely not the workhorse the old one was. I’ll be looking for something else immediately and I’m bummed I lost money on this and still have to use it until I can afford another one.CERTAINLY not for catering or larger commercial applications.

The size is the best size anyone can ask forâ¦The design is very good..Thereâs only one thing Iâm not too sure of is⦠Thereâs a collection of tiny pieces of metal build up around the big nut in the Center ..Donât know if this will stop after a while..still observing..

So far so good! The water stays at a pretty hot temperature – much hotter than other urns that I’ve purchased. Great for making tea and/or instant coffee.The one trade off appears to be that it is not especially quiet. It makes a rolling boil sound all the time. I was expecting that to cycle off.
