Morning routine: My computer, my dog, my coffee and my MUG WARMER
This mug warmer has quickly become part of my morning routine. I make coffee, sit down at my computer, the dog lays down over my feet and my coffee mug goes on my new mug warmer. Two taps sets the temperature at medium (158) and another two taps sets the timer to 4 hours (2,4,6,8,10,12 hour settings).Then, with everything ready, I open my email.This mug warmer does an excellent job keeping my coffee/tea the temps I want them to maintain. No more getting up every 15 minutes to rewarm my coffee in the microwave. Only the glass heating element gets hot, the silicon edges do not, which is very nice. It comes with a silicon cover for the heating element that at first I thought I would never use, but end up putting it in place when I am done for the morning.It seems of high quality design and construction. I used my digital thermometer to test the different heat settings (131â/55âï¼158â/70â or 176â/80â) and each register to +/- one degree. That was impressive.One thing I noticed is that mugs with really BIG bases may not get good contact with the heating element. In the picture, my mug is just a tiny bit to big to make the best contact, but it still keeps my coffee warm. My other mugs work awesomely.I like this mug warmer very much. The Mug Warmer, 3-Temperature Coffee Mug Warmer works fairly well. This is the first mug warmer I’ve used, so no comparisons I can draw from.I switched from my glass, double walled mug to a ceramic mug to use with the warmer. The listing says to use it with a flat bottom mug, and glass mugs are risky on warmers. None of the mugs I have are totally flat; all my ceramic mugs have a least a shallow edge, so I chose the mug with the flattest bottom.On the highest setting, 176â/80â, the coffee cools down to the mid-120â’s. So, after about 30 minutes, stays steady around 125â. And the lower the coffee gets, the slightly warmer it is. Obviously, closer to the warmer, the cup is warmer; warm, but not hot. Much better, though, than without a warmer. My coffee gets cold after about 15 minutes, usually, which is fine in the summer, but not in the winter. I haven’t tried the two lower settings, since the highest only keeps my drinks warm, not hot. I also haven’t used the disk that sits on the top of cups, since my cup is too wide, but that likely would help keep the coffee hotter for longer.I used an instant food thermometer to check the temperature, and it consistently holds around 125â until my cup is empty. The bottom of the ceramic mug gets hot, so I don’t touch the bottom. Not burning hot, but enough to be uncomfortable if I pick the cup up from the bottom. One star off because of the decline in temperature every time. Never stays at the listed temperature.For this pretty low price, the warmer does a good job. Cups that automatically keep drinks hot are usually over $100 and I can’t spend that. This, though, at least keeps my coffee warm and much more pleasant to drink until I’ve finished the whole cup. Definitely better than without the warmer.

I’ve only had this a few days, but it’s already lasted longer than my previous 3 mug warmers that only lasted a day (if that.) This one has no frills, and it isn’t a set down warmer. It has heat- 176°, and 158°, 131° and off, and then a timer, ranging from 2, 4 6, 8, 10 and 12 hours. Not sure why you’d need anything over 4, but that’s just me! It does not warm, it maintains temperature. It does have an auto shut off after 4 if you don’t set the timer. And it works. I didn’t take the temperature of my coffee, but it has not gone cold like it was- it’s still hot at 176° F. It comes with a silicon cover for the heating unit for when you are finished, which is nice- I’ve burned myself in the past, not thinking it was on or hot. Great product, and I will update if it stops working!

I love this mug warmer. It truly keeps my coffee at an ideal temperature. Itâs perfect for busy moms or anyone who gets easily distracted by work. I did notice that itâs better to use my glass mugs to really take advantage of itâs heating capabilities, but my thinner ceramic mugs have been good too. I love the temperature settings (not a feature in another mug warmer that I owned years ago) and how easy they are to change. Overall, I think this is a wonderful mug warmer. It works on soup and tea too!
