Using it daily since October 2020, and it’s still working!
I bought this back in October 2020, and I use it daily for 6 to 10+ hours per day. Sometimes longer. Its working perfectly and I’ve had no issues with it.I have it sitting on a glass table, so I’m not concerned with it getting too hot, which it generally does not do. As it says, it does not get super hot, but it’s hot enough to keep a hot cup of coffee hot for a while, and fairly warm if left for hours. With the surface being glass, it does take a few moments to start to get warm, and a bit longer to get hot, so if a cat walks across it when its cold, it is not able to hurt them.I use traditional ceramic coffee mugs with it, so it does a fairly good job. But since the bottoms of the mugs are hollow, I would think something that is flat bottom would do a better job of transferring heat to keep it warmer. When the mugs go dry, they can get rather hot and I’ve lost a mug from cracking from the heat that was localized on the bottom of the mug.The top is made out of glass, and it’s durable and has held up well. It has barely any scratches, of which, the ceramic mugs can be pretty abrasive.If I had to, I would buy this again, but I would be missing the 2020’s non-discounted price that was twelve eighty.

I bought this because I can never finish my coffee before it goes cold. With this my coffee or cocoa never goes cold while Iâm getting ready in the morning or having tea in the afternoon. I can take it from room to room. And have it in my sewing room later in the day. Works like a charm, love it

Good for the price
This mug is my every day mug. I bought it because my tea and coffee always seem to be too cold by the time I am 1/3 of the way through.This cup will keep the bottom of your drink nice and warm. Is doesnât do a good job keeping your entire drink hot.The other thing I dislike about it, and it may be just me but it feels so small. I am pretty small and have smal hands but the handle can be awkward to hold as itâs smaller than Iâd like it to be. This leads you to wanting to support the cup from the bottom however the metal base gets very hot. Iâve burned my hand a few times.Speaking of the metal base. There are grooved concentric circles to help the mug heat your beverage however if some liquid splashes, spills or drips on the platform while the cup is on it, it can create a vacuum causing the cup to stick to the base. I drink hot tea with sugar and milk and many times just the tea bag over the side wicks the beverage and causes the mug to stick to the base. More often than not more of a headache because you donât want to break the seal too sharply or you have hot beverage everywhere.Itâs a cute novelty item and it will keep your drink warm (not hot) just remember to give it a stir before you take a sip.Overall I give it a 4/5 as it does what itâs intended to do. Itâs not perfect and has a few things Iâd rather have changed but for the money itâs not bad

So Grateful That It Stopped Working, I’m Buying A Third Unit
I’m a coffee sipper in the morning and a tea sipper the rest of the workday. I bought two of these – one for my home office standing desk and one for the kitchen island where I sit for a change of view while working from home. They each worked perfectly, keeping my beverage of choice at a steady temperature for an unreasonably long amount of time – over an hour. UNTIL.One day I had an emergency and threw some papers on the desk to grab my dog and take her to the vet (long story). By the time I got home, I forgot all about whatever was happening in the office. The next morning, I went into the office and noticed a weird smell. At first I thought it was due to some construction work in the basement. Long story short, those papers and the notebook I threw on the desk had landed on this mug warmer with enough weight to burn through. By the time I noticed, the papers on the bottom were scorched, but the mug warmer was off and 100% out of commission. I’m thrilled to be buying another one and even more thrilled not th have to file an insurance claim for burning my house down.

Not so hot!
So I went cheap for my coffee mug warmer and I am sorry. I don’t know, maybe they are all alike in that way, probably some kind of liability issue, but it barely keeps the coffee warm. I would not buy it again. The weight of the mug turns it on. And I thought it said it automatically turns off if you forget to take it off warmer, but that is not true. It is still on later. I do use it, however. It does keep the coffee warm and if you like your coffee that way then this is the one for you. I do recommend getting automatic turn off though.

No more cold Matcha Tea!
I love this little heating pad for my matcha tea. If I make tea in a mug without a lid it stays at a comfortable drinking temp, if I want to keep it hotter I pour my tea in a travel mug with a lid and it stays a lot hotter than a cup without a lid. I love the presser plate feature of this heating plate. When the cup/mug is on the plate it turns on and when removed it turns off. It does not have a timer feature which for me is a plus, because sometimes I will nurse a cup of tea for a long while. Simple design, low profile and efficient.

Works best with clear glass
This is perfect if your job is such that you are forever reheating your coffee or tea. At work, I make my coffee and put it directly on the warmer. It keeps the coffee hot until I have a chance to finish it (which was 2 hours this morning). There is no o/off switch. The weight of the cup activates the heat, so you never have to worry if you turned it off.I have found that it works best with glass. A mason jar or clear glass mug seem to be the best. Porcelain was fine but not great. It stayed warm but not hot. It does not work at all on those fancy Stanley or Yeti metal bottom mugs, and I wouldn’t try plastic.I am happy with my purchase.

no espere que funcionara tan bien, generalmente me sirvo un cafe mas que nada por disfrutar de su sabor por horas o para afinar mi garganta luego de muchos minutos de estar hablando en webbinars.Mi cafe siempre me lo tomaba frio o tenia que estarlo calentando de nuevo en el microondas.Pero con esta base, he llegado a poner una taza con cafe a temperatura ambiente y a la vuelta de 20 minutos que estoy trabajando, ya esta tibio!Cuando lo sirvo caliente, lo mantiene caliente por horas!se recomienda una taza de vidrio con la base plana (para que haga mas contacto) pero con la de ceramica que utilizo alcanza a pasar la temperatura muy bien, se enciende solo cuando le pones la taza encima y se apaga cuando la levantas.

Me gustó mucho su diseño y funcionalidad. Llevo dos meses con el producto y como dicen algunos comentarios, el porta taza NO CALIENTA LA BEBIDA, MANTIENE EL CALOR. Es decir, no puedes llevar una bebida frÃa y esperar que la caliente, sólo evita que se enfrÃen las bebidas ya calientes. Lo he probado por horas, dÃas enteros y mi bebida sigue calientita. Cumplió todas mis expectativas, su funcionamiento es muy sencillo, en la parte de abajo tiene un pequeño interruptor que al presionarse por el peso de la taza acciona el calor y se indica con la luz azul. Sólo hay que tener cuidado en no colocar cosas encima del porta taza para no activar ese mecanismo en condiciones peligrosas. En conclusión, estoy muy feliz con mi compra y recomiendo el producto ampliamente.
