Perfect play food!
I love this play food. It’s the most realistic stuff I’ve been able to find. The pieces are also very durable and easy for little hands to grasp and play with. My sister has a few sets of Learning Resources play food for her kids, so I was familiar with the brand when I purchased this set for my son for his first birthday. My sister’s sets are several years old and are still in perfect condition (except for the ones the dog chewed holes in). The paint does not come off with wear, and the kids haven’t bitten through or torn off parts of the plastic, either. They’re firm but squish-able, and the material is smooth to the touch but not slippery, so little kids can grab onto it without a problem. Though they’re not “life-sized,” the fruits and veggies are a good size for kids, too – they’re not small enough to pose a choking hazard, but also not too big. They’re also not to scale — the head of lettuce is about the same size as the onion, the ear of corn is about four inches long, etc — but the shape, coloring and details are all very life-life. The tote in this set is a cute little addition. A good size for my one-year-old, and all of the fruit fits in it well, without being so full that they fall back out.I’ll be buying more Learning Resources play food for my son in the future! For now, this 16-piece set is a perfect starter set. I don’t need 30-something pieces of play food all over my house… yet 🙂

Quality Play Food!
I absolutely love the Learning Resources play food collection. This set is our second, and the quality is just as great as the first. My favorite thing about the toy is the material: itâs very durable and easy to clean/disinfect. PERFECT size for a one year old. I will be purchasing more!

Toddlers love these fruits & veggies
I thought this for my 2 year old nephew. We had previously purchased multiple food collections of this brand for my own son whoâs now 4. He still plays with them and cooks in his kitchen and goes food shopping as his pretend Wegmans. They are cute, safe, realistic and entertaining. We added a play toddle grocery cart and boom – 2 hours of straight entertainment.

Great toy
This set is really cute in the bag that comes with it is a good way to store when not playing with it. It’s been a fun way to teach healthier foods to my toddler, the only downside is he sometimes puts them into his mouth and chews when pretending to eat, and some pieces are hollow so they bend. They’ve held up fine so far and go back to original shape when manipulated, but I fear they may bend or crack down the line when played with a lot. Still a lot better than other brands I’ve seen, would recommend!

Perfect for 18 month old
Very pleased with my purchase. The tote is thick and sewed together very well. The fruits and veggies are also thick and durable, their quality surpasses that of other play food I’ve come across. They are the perfect size to match on pictures in books, if you like doing that with your child, and the tote is the perfect size for toddlers to carry around. I wish the selection included more items we eat at home regularly like an orange, a broccoli floret, a mango and a pineapple, to name a few, but this doesn’t take away from its charm. If the makers created a more varied set in the future, I’d totally buy it

There are sooo many options out there for this kind of stuff so I just want to write a comment in hopes of it helping someone make a choice for a quality product since it can get overwhelming deciding which one to buy haha. These are AWESOME. Not lifelike size but the quality is phenomenal, the plastic is almost a rubbery plastic and is super cool, Iâve never felt this type of quality for a toy like this, itâs just unique I guess you could say. The little tote is super handy when trying to keep these a little more organized too! And itâs such a good price compared to other lower quality. I usually like to stick to Melissa and Doug but Iâm oretty sure this set is better quality and more items (fruits and veggies) as well! 🙂

Like all the other Learnerâs Resources sets, the quality of this play food is exceptional. Was a bit surprised by the sizeâseemed smaller in real life than pictures of web appearâhowever, itâs the perfect size for a toddler. Took a picture next to my kidâs sippy cup so you can get a better sense of scale. Again, not a problem. Just nice to know.

These are very durable fruit and veggies,if you squeeze or step on them they will not break. I love that there aren’t a lot of them (some packages of other ones have over 100 and that is a lot to clean up or step on!). One note, I hid the blackberries for now because my daughter could fit the whole thing in her mouth and I didn’t want her to try to swallow them.
